The Calallen Wildcat powerlifting team continues to produce big results after the varsity boys and girls won at the Banquete High School Powerlifting Meet.
The girls team finished on top with 52 total points. Host Banquete came up short with 44 points.
Carrizo Springs made the long trip to finish in third place.
Of the 14 participants, 11 of the girls finished the competition with top-3 finishes.
At 105 pounds, Natalie Harvey came up on top lifting a combined total of 565 pounds.
Gaby Gaona continued to wow the judges winning the 165 pound class and was named Most Outstanding Girls lifter after finishing the day lifting a total of 900 pounds.
Meghan Deaver won the 220-plus class with teammate Lynsey Lopez following behind in second.
Other top-3 finishers included Brianna Bruner, Amy Broomfield, Grace Kelly, Shelby O'Brien, Cassandra Sanchez, Shelby Cunningham and Tyler Williams.
For the boys team, they beat out Bishop 44-32. Eight of the 13 participants had top-3 finishes, including three winners.
B.J. Campos won the 114-pound division. Teammate Given McClure finished a distant second.
Stephen Rios won the 148-pound class and was the Most Outstanding Girls lifter. Greg Roussel won the 242-pound class.
Also finishing in the top-3 were Kellen Hastings, Michael Damon, Henry Rivera and Chris Molano.
