By Staff Reports
WASHINGTON, D.C.- The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a $2.09 million grant to the Corpus Christi Regional Transit Authority for the renovation of the RTA's bus maintenance facility.
In addition, the grant money awarded last week will go towards improved efficiency and upgraded maintenance methods.
"This has been a main priority project for the RTA," said U.S. Rep. Solomon Ortiz, D-Corpus Christi. "They provide a tremendous service and reliable public transportation to the people of the Coastal Bend area. This funding will ensure that the RTA has the most up-to-date facilities and equipment for that purpose."
