The Calallen Independent School District crest boasts of CISD's rich tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, vocations, fine arts and citizenship.
CISD prides itself on providing our students with a world-class education that maximizes our students' educational opportunities while providing a well-rounded student capable of succeeding in post-graduate life.
As educators, we must prepare our students to experience success in a world and a time, which we will never see. That means teaching our children to thrive in an atmosphere of change. In education-in business-in our personal lives-change is the only constant in today's world. We know that technology advances at a staggering pace. It is imperative that CISD evolves with the 21st century and stays current so our students are not left behind. We must ensure that Calallen ISD's tradition of academic excellence remains a priority for the district and our community.
There are many challenges that confront our district and we continue to examine financial solutions, including what has traditionally been done and what can be defined as "out of the box." The process requires a great amount of communication-listening, talking and reflecting, which leads to consensus building.
I want you to know that I care deeply about this district. My commitment is to continue CISD's tradition of excellence by maintaining our focus on the future-our children. To this end, I ask you to please join me for an informational community meeting concerning the Calallen ISD bond election.
We will hold a community meeting regarding the bond issue at Calallen Middle School cafeteria on Monday, Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m. We want to share information regarding facility improvements, technology upgrades, and various other items/areas being considered for funding through the upcoming bond issue.
Your attendance and participation are vitally important to the future of our schools and community. Please feel free to extend this invitation to anyone else who might be interested in impacting the future of our students.
