As part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a 5K was held in honor of Salvador Rios IV, who was diagnosed with brain tumor in 2012.

He has undergone radiation, chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant in San Antonio. Sal cannot walk at this time due to weak muscles.

The 5K walk/run at the Anderson Park was a way to bring awareness to childhood cancer. Participates received medals in three different categories.
