Tuloso- Midway schools went into lockdown Wednesday when a report of a clown sighting was reported.

Precautions were taken due to clown threats on social media.

Since 8 a.m. Thursday, Tuloso-Midway schools were trying to resolve the situation only to find out that Arlington Heights was having their homecoming events and dress up day was Disney characters.

About 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, this photo was posted on our Facebook page by Arlington Heights administrator Isam. One of our parents saw it and forwarded to our office. TM Superintendent Dr. Nelson contacted Mrs. Isam, who has yet to return the call.

Fortunately, at the end of the day on Wednesday, the mystery was solved about our clown sighting. The explanation is in the picture.

Thanks to all of our staff, students, and parents, who survived this day in Lockout status.

Although this was definitely a false alarm it did give us an opportunity to work on our emergency preparedness plan and ensure the safety of our students and staff.
