CORPUS CHRISTI –The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA) on Thursday, October, 20 at the Staples Street location promoted free rides for early voting and on Election Day.
In attendance at the press conference were Mayor Nelda Martinez, Commissioner Joe A. Gonzalez (JAG) and Nueces County Clerk, Kara Sands, Curtis Rock, Board Chairman of the CCRTA, and Jorge Cruz-Aedo, CEO of the CCRTA.
From October 24th through Nov. 4 for early voting, Nueces County residents can grab a free ride with a valid voter registration card. The CCRTA will also offer free rides to everyone on Nov. 8 for General Election Day.
Other cities and transit organizations also partnered together to offer residents this hassle-free and worry-free service.
