Artistic Director, Nancy Sulik, founded the ballet company strongly believing in arts education and giving children the opportunity to witness the wonder and beauty of the performing arts. Not only has Concert Ballet continued to produce successful bi-annual productions, but the company has also worked hard to develop several outreach programs including Encore, Dance and Rhythm Training (DART), Artist in Residency (AIR), Pique Shows, and Student Performing Arts Series (SPAS) for the students of Corpus Christi and the surrounding areas.

Concert Ballet has also invited international guest artists, Tyronne Guardado Vargas and Carlos Ramirez Cabezas, of Costa Rica’s contemporary dance company, Danza Universitaria, to perform the roles of Spanish Chocolate, Russian Trepak, and Cavaliers in Waltz of the Flowers. Also returning this year is Keegan O’Brien, a current company member of Ballet Ariel of Denver, Colorado, performing the male role in Arabian Coffee. O’Brien just recently appeared on American Ninja Warrior, showcasing the correlation between ballet and fitness. Master choreographer, Thom Clower, has once again returned to Corpus Christi to choreograph this year’s production of The Nutcracker.
“It is a great honor to have worked with Nancy Sulik and the Corpus Christi Concert Ballet for as long as I have. This is the 10th year that I have staged The Nutcracker for the company, in addition to ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘The Firebird’, and many other concert works," Clower said. "Their dedication to the community at large and to the education of the next generation is unparalleled in youth arts organizations anywhere! I celebrate the 40th anniversary along with the company, and we invite the public to come and see our production of The Nutcracker. Come back and continue the celebration at the Gala in March 2017!”
