Steven James & The Jaded will be performing at Solace in Alice on Friday evening.

The band caught the ears of the Texas Country Scene in early 2016 after their debut single "Weak In The Knees" broke the Top 40 on the Texas Regional Radio charts.

Now they're riding a wave of success with their second studio album “On The Run” and the release of their new single "Texas Girls,” which has spent the past 15 weeks on the Texas Top 100 Radio Charts. It's a song Steven James calls a "tribute to the best women in the world.”

"The past year and a half have been a whirlwind for us," Steven James said. "We wouldn't be where we are today if it weren't for the amazing support from the Texas Country community."

The single was voted “Best New Single” in Texas three weeks in a row online before being retired from competition. “Texas Girls” also received the “Highest Debut Single” designation the week it broke the Top 100 on the Texas Regional Radio Report.

Produced by Grammy-Nominated Producer, Dylan Ely, at The Loop Studios in the band's hometown of Corpus Christi, the new single and album serve up the hooky, melodic Texas rock Steven James & The Jaded have become known for, with a polished finish.

"With this album we really set out to prove that our success wasn't just a one-time thing," Steven James said. "We've learned a lot and grown a lot over the past year and we're ready to run with the best."

After releasing their debut album “Baby L.A.” which saw the group's debut single reach #37 in the state, Steven James & The Jaded spent most of the year touring Texas, playing shows with current Texas Country superstars including, Josh Abbott Band, Rich O’ Toole and Bri Bagwell, while making new fans throughout the state.

Steven James & The Jaded also made history as the first group to play to the very first music festival dedicated to Selena, opening for Los Lobos at the Fiesta de La Flor Music Festival and playing in front of 25,000 music fans in their hometown. That was followed by a packed showcase at the South By Southwest Music Festival, and successful shows in Los Angeles and Nashville.

For the band’s debut album, “Baby L.A.” the young Texas Country singer, who draws comparisons to Caleb Followill of Kings of Leon or a young John Mellencamp, teamed with acclaimed Producer Lars Goransson, in Austin, who has produced international hit records from groups including The Cardigans; and Austin music royalty including What Made Milwaukee Famous, Alpha Rev and Fastball.

Their highly anticipated follow-up album entitled "On The Run," dropped worldwide in September 2016. At the Helm for the project is Grammy-Nominated Producer, Dylan Ely, who has produced platinum-selling records from Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, Backstreet Boys and one of Steven James' own idols, Bob Seger. The album was engineered in Corpus Christi by Steven's good buddy Brian from Brian Christopher & The Wild Oats.

After grabbing the attention of Texas Music fans and fellow musicians, Steven James & The Jaded are excited to release their latest batch of songs to the world.

“I hope these new songs take what we’ve done over the past year to the next level and prove that we are here to stay,” Steven James added.
