Corpus Christi Food Bank made their way to Banquete Tuesday to give out food to the residents.
The Food Bank of Corpus Christi reduces hunger in South Texas through food distribution and nutrition education.
The Food Bank of Corpus Christi’s ‘Mobile Pantry Program’ reaches individuals and families living in rural areas and surrounding counties of South Texas. To date, the Food Bank of Corpus Christi has 27 different mobile pantries. The Food Bank's goal is to provide and distribute food items including fresh produce on a monthly basis in the smaller cities that don’t have local help.
The Food Bank of Corpus Christi currently reaches the following cities in South Texas: Alice, San Jose, R.E.A.L.., San Diego, R.E.A.L., Driscoll, Benavides – Public and Sr. Center, Freer, Agua Dulce, Banquete, Palito Blanco, Falfurrias, Riviera, Sarita, Hacienda Sr. Apts., Buena Vida Sr. Apts, Premont, Beeville, Orange Grove, Concepcion, Realitos, St. Peters by the Sea UMC, Elliott Grant Sr. Apts., The Palms at Leopard, Christ UMC-Kingsville and Metropolitan Community Church.
