Cadets from the NJROTC unit at Tuloso-Midway High School woke early Saturday morning (April 22) to participate in the Spring 2017 Beach Clean Up at the Texas State Aquarium.

The cadets were able to collect and dispose of more than 300 pounds of refuse including two old tires, a car bumper, and seven large trash bags, filled to the brim with trash thrown from the cars of thoughtless drivers.

The cadets volunteer their time at least twice per year helping the City of Corpus Christi keep the roads and beaches as clean and litter-free as possible, so residents can enjoy the beauty nature has given us.
