On May 12, a life changing event occurred, and altered the future of David Cole, Cowboy Pastor of Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Orange Grove, Texas. A massive stroke took David’s ability to use his ride side. Ability to speak, partial vision loss and other severe complications. This family is the backbone as well as the leadership of this community church which serves Orange Grove and a 25-mile radius that includes Alice, Mathis, Lake Corpus Christi, Calallen & San Patricio County.

The Benevolent Fund was created by Cross Trails Cowboy Church to aid all the member of our community whose needs range from difficult to devastating and now the Cowboy Pastor of this church has had an event that effects all members of our community.

Cowboy Connect is an event spearheaded by church leadership members, Michelle & Scott Knight, Jimmy & Gracie Trees, Randy & Tracie Palmer, Wayne & Pam Walthrip, Randy & Natosha Startezell, Cassie DeReese, Crystal Parker and Carol Martin.

Events include IBCA BBQ Cook-off with generous cash prizes, Boot Scootin Barn Dance & Dinner, Car Show, & Team Roping with other arena events. A live Calcutta Auction on Friday night, Live Auction Saturday during the Dinner, and also a silent auction during the day on Saturday. Lots of items up for bid like guns, jewelry, original artwork, trips and custom built mesquite furniture and lots more.

Live Music will be provided by Texas Crossing on Friday July 21st and Saturday night during the Boot Scootin Barn Dinner & Dance we have our very own Branded with David Washington, local artist Ritchie Albright and Nate Rodriquez.

This is a two day fund raising effort packed with activities, music, events, prizes and fantastic auction items to raise money for all who are in need, especially our own Pastor. Come and support the church that supports all in the greater Orange Grove area and surrounding communities.
