NJROTC Cadets and Cheer Leaders from Tuloso-Midway High School started the new school year off right in July by welcoming parents and friends of T-M students to the annual Open House hosted by the Tuloso-Midway School District.

Hundreds of curious parents roamed the halls of the school eagerly waiting to talk to all teachers and staff. The NJROTC cadets acted as escorts for the event and assisted anyone who needed help finding classrooms, offices, or even water fountains.

In August, cadets from the Tuloso-Midway NJROTC unit were given an outstanding career information lecture this week from the US Army recruiters from Corpus Christi, Texas. Staff Sgt. De Leon briefed the students on over 150 different jobs that the cadets could choose from if they joined the military. He also spoke about the importance of having a plan in place as the cadets graduate high school whether or not they choose to join the military.

LCDR Harmon, Senior NJROTC Instructor at T-M said, “It is our focus every day with every cadet that they be prepared for life after high school. And exposing them to all employment options is one way we can ensure our cadets will become great citizens of this city and this country.”
