Calallen Independent School District Bond

The Calallen ISD bond of $39.5 million was passed by voters on November 7 with 58.17 percent supported the bond and 41.83 percent voting against it.

The bond will fund projects targeted for construction including a new elementary school for $13.5, new science wing at Calallen High School for $10 million and $1.5 million each for industrial Arts building and expansion of Agricultural shop, among others.

The mayor and city council election results brought back some incumbents including Mayor Mandy Barrera who won her race with 53.34 percent of the votes and some new faces.
