The 83rd Nueces County Junior Livestock Show Queens Pageant is Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Tuloso-Midway High School performing Arts Center.

Seventeen young ladies are vying for the crown, which comes with a scholarship and other prizes. The contestants will compete in evening gown, talent and interviews.

The pageant starts at 6:30 p.m. Contestants are as follows:

Mya Fulbright

Mya Fulbright, 17, is the daughter of Amalia Cowger and she is a Senior at Bishop High School. Mya will be representing the Bishop FFA Chapter and she will be exhibiting a Market Swine project. Mya will sing for her talent in this year’s competition.

Paityn Havelka

Paityn Havelka, 17, is the daughter of Keith and Neisha Havelka and she is a senior at Tuloso Midway High School. Paityn is representing Lone Star 4-H Club and she is exhibiting a Market Swine and Ag Mech projects in this year’s show. Paityn will be performing a skit as her talent.

Kyleigh Anne Hemken

Kyleigh Hemken, 14, is the daughter of Ray and Elizabeth Cunningham and she is a Freshman at Calallen High School. Kyleigh is representing the Annaville 4-H Club and she will be exhibiting in the Market Swine and Homemaking divisions of this year’s Show. Kyleigh will sing as her talent.

Matteson Jo Kapa

Matteson Kapa, 16, is the daughter of Steve Kapa and Lori Albert and she is a Junior at Tuloso Midway High School. Matteson is representing the Tuloso Midway FFA Chapter and she is exhibiting in a Market Swine, Breeding Beef Heifer and Homemaking projects in this year’s Show. Matteson will be performing a skit for her talent.

Rylee King

Rylee King, 14, is the daughter of Ronnie and Leslie King and she is a Freshman at Tuloso Midway High School. Rylee will be representing the Travelin 4-H Club and she will be exhibiting in the Horse Show, Meat Goat, Breeding Rabbit, Ag Mech and Homemaking divisions of this year’s Show. Rylee will be performing a speech as her talent.

Mireya Lopez

Mireya Lopez, 15, is the daughter of Manuel and Margie Lopez and she is a Sophomore at Tuloso Midway High School. Mireya will be representing Run In JM 4-H Club and she will be exhibiting in the Rabbit and Homemaking divisions during this year’s Show. Mireya will be performing a dance routine for her talent. 

Emily McClendon

Emily McClendon, 15, is the daughter of Guy and Kathy McClendon and she is a Sophomore at Calallen High School. Emily is representing the Nueces County 4-H Ambassadors and she will be exhibiting her Market Steer and Homemaking projects in this year’s Show. Emily will be performing a sign language skit for her talent.

Jackie McClendon

Jackie McClendon, 14, is the daughter of Guy and Kathy McClendon and she is a freshman at Calallen High School. Jackie will be representing River Hills 4-H Club and she will be exhibiting Market Rabbits and Homemaking projects in this year’s show. Jackie will be performing a tumbling routine for her talent.

Jaci Elise Monte

Jaci Monte, 16, is the daughter of Terry Monte and she is a Junior at Tuloso Midway High School. Jaci is representing the C & T 4-H Club and she will be exhibiting in the Rabbit and Homemaking divisions. Jaci will be playing the clarinet or performing a speech for her talent.

Rebecca Plagens

Rebecca Plagens, 17, is the daughter of Steven and Veronica Plagens and she is a Senior at Calallen High School. Rebecca will be representing Calallen FFA and she will be exhibiting a Meat Goat and Homemaking projects in this year’s show. Rebecca will be performing a dance for her talent.

Ann Marie Powell

Ann Marie Powell, 16, is the daughter of Richard and Sandy Powell and she is a Junior at London High School. Ann is representing the London 4-H Club and she will be exhibiting in the Homemaking division at this year’s show. Ann will be painting for her talent.

Courtney Robertson

Courtney Robertson, 16, is the daughter of Tommy and Lisa Robertson and she is a Junior at Calallen High School. Courtney is representing the Bluntzer 4-H Club and she will be exhibiting a Market Swine and Homemaking projects in this year’s show. Courtney will be preforming a cheerleading dance with tumbling for her talent.

Jimi Ellen Savage

Jimi Savage, 17, is the daughter of Denise and Alton Goetzel, Jr. and she is a Senior at Banquete High School. Jimi is representing the Banquete FFA Chapter and she will be exhibiting Rabbits, AG Mech and Homemaking projects in this year’s show. Jimi will be singing while be singing for her talent.

Guinevere Torres

Guinevere Torres, 17, is the daughter of Diedra D Meyer-Hager and James William Hager III and she is a Senior at Flour Bluff High School. Guinevere is representing the Flour Bluff Padre Island 4-H Club and she will be exhibiting in the Rabbit, Ag Mech and Homemaking divisions of this year’s show. Guinevere will be singing for her talent.

Caroline Unterbrink

Caroline Unterbrink, 17, is the daughter of Byron and Rachel Unterbrink and she is a Senior at Calallen High School. Caroline will be representing the Tejas 4-H Club and she is exhibiting in the Homemaking division of this year’s show. Caroline will be singing for her talent.

Madeline Williams

Madeline Williams, 17, is the daughter of John and Kellie Williams and she is a Senior at Veterans Memorial High School. Madeline will be representing the Veterans Memorial FFA Chapter and she will be exhibiting in the Meat Goat and Homemaking divisions of this year’s show. Madeline will be performing a musical theatrical performance for her talent.

Aubrey Zickefoose

Aubrey Zickefoose, 18, is the daughter of Kyle and Jamie Zickefoose and she is a Senior at Tuloso Midway High School. Aubrey will be representing the Chaparral 4-H Club and she will be exhibiting in the Market Swine and Homemaking divisions in this year’s show. Aubrey will be performing a skit for her talent.
