South Plains Church honoring First Responders
South Plains Church will honor First Responders at the new fire station at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at 603 Fifth Street in Levelland.
Pastors Eddie Trice and the South Plains Church congregation are inviting everyone to out and help support all law enforcement and EMS, according to a South Plains Church news release.
"It's an honor for us to honor these great men and women that do so much to serve the people," said Trice.

International speaker gives 'Science of Christianity'
Mary Alice Rose, international speaker, will present the talk "The Science of Christianity" at 7:30 p.m. on March 8 at the Ashmore Inn and Suites, located at 4019 S. Loop 289.
She said Christian Science is rooted in the scientific method, and she has has examples in her own life, as well as that of others illustrating how spiritual laws can be put into practice, according to a news release.
"In my talk I will draw parallels between how physical scientists approach the subjects they study, and how individuals approach the study of Christian science," she said. Rose's ideas are based on the teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible, and as discussed in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, according to the release.

Lubbock Christian Women's Connection hosts luncheon March 13
The Lubbock Cristian Women's Connection is hosting a luncheon at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday March 13 at the Lubbock Country Club, located at 3400 Mesa Road.

Rachel's Vineyard is hosting a retreat is planned for April 27 through April 29 for anyone struggling with the pain of an abortion.
"Rachel's Vineyard offers a chance to get away from all the daily pressures or work and family and focus on this painful time in your life through a supportive and non-judgmental process," said Theresa Burke, PhD, author of the Rachel's Vineyard retreat.
She said Rachel's Vineyard is a "therapy for the soul"- which combines psychological and spiritual healing through a unique, creative process.
