Demetri Karagas, who spent his first 18 years in Corpus Christi, co-founded Keeps, a new company that offers men a simple, effective and affordable way to address hair loss proactively. Keeps is entirely online, saving men time, money and the hassle of going to the pharmacy and asking for assistance unlocking hair loss product cases.
Demetri attended Calallen High School, graduating in 2006. He went on to attend NYU Stern School of Business, graduating in 2010. Possessing an entrepreneurial spirit, Demetri co-founded Get Maid, an on-demand, premium maid service in 2012 that he and his business partner, Steve Gutentag, sold to leading home services platform, Homejoy in 2014. He and Steve, a friend from college, then put their heads together to help Google launch a new product to better serve users looking for quality home services, like a trustworthy locksmith. The idea for Keeps was conceptualized when Demetri pointed out Steve’s thinning hair. They set out in search of a convenient, and low-cost solution for men’s hair loss – found none – and launched Keeps.
When he is not busy with Keeps, Demetri still makes time for trips back to Corpus Christi to visit his family.
