Corpus Christi Mayor Joe McComb addressed the crowd on Tuesday, March 20 at an open house to celebrate the relocation of its Humana neighborhood location to 4117 S. Staples Street in Corpus Christi.
Corpus Christi residents were treated to free tour of the new center, health fair along with cooking and exercise demonstrations.
The health fair participates were local community organizations, including the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association, Coastal Bend Food Bank, Goodwill of South Texas, EXOS Walking Group, Humana’s Go365 program, SilverSneakers, VFW Posts 2375, 2397, 6386, 8621, and 8932, YMCA of Coastal Bend.
Entertainment was live music by The Veterans Band of Corpus Christi.
More than 100 residents participated in the day long festivities, including Corpus Christi Mayor Joe McComb who joined Joe Tompkins, West Texas Medicare Sales Director, for the ribbon cutting ceremony. The center is open to the community and offers fitness classes, cooking demonstrations, health and wellness activities, social activities and more.
