Friday, Aug. 3 – The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s Islander ROTC will celebrate the commissioning of new second lieutenants on Friday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies, first floor meeting room. This ceremony marks the transition of graduating ROTC students from cadets to enlisted officers. The ceremony is free and open to the public. Friday, Aug. 3 – The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will hold its summer 2018 recognition ceremony on Friday, Aug. 3, from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. During the ceremony, graduates from the college will be honored. Students who will graduate with their master’s degree will receive their master’s hood while those graduating with a bachelor’s degree will receive a special pin.
