Corpus Christi, Texas – Coastal Compass Education and Career Resource Center, located at La Palmera Mall (Suite 1572), hosts FREE workshops. The one-stop resource center provides education and job information and assistance.

Coastal Compass workshops for August 2018 include the following:

August 2: Women’s Education (Hosted by Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation) – Learn about breast and cervical cancer, some barriers, and how to prepare for the exams. (11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)

August 3: Destination Education (Hosted by Coastal Compass) – Informational fair that promotes education and career resources to prepare students, parents, and educators for the upcoming school year. (1 to 5 p.m.)

August 8-9: Spanish Food Manager Certification (Hosted by Del Mar College Continuing Education Department – (Mr. Larry Webb) – 0.30 CED Certificate of Completion will be given to students upon completion of the course. (5:30 to 9 p.m.)

August 10: Application Drive (Hosted by TAMU-Corpus Christi – Ms. Sophia Zaner) – Admission Counselor will be onsite to assist with the college enrollment process, applications, and degree information. This is your chance to receive a personal consultation that will give you the tools to successfully navigate through the enrollment process at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. (12 to 4 p.m.)

August 14: FAFSA Frenzy: (Hosted by Texas A&M University-Kingsville – Mr. Tony Rivas) – One-on-one assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (3 to 5 p.m.)

August 15: Application Drive (Hosted by TAMU-Corpus Christi – Ms. Sophia Zaner) – Admission Counselor will be onsite to assist with the college enrollment process, applications, and degree information. This is your chance to receive a personal consultation that will give you the tools to successfully navigate through the enrollment process at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. (6 to 9 p.m.)

August 15: Working at Elevated Heights (Hosted by Del Mar College Continuing Education Department) – 0.30 CED Certificate of Completion will be given to students upon completion of the course. (6 p.m. to 9 p.m.)

August 17: Application Drive (Hosted by TAMU-Corpus Christi – Ms. Sophia Zaner) – Admission Counselor will be onsite to assist with the college enrollment process, applications, and degree information. This is your chance to receive a personal consultation that will give you the tools to successfully navigate through the enrollment process at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. (12 to 4 p.m.)

August 17: Information Session (Hosted by Craft Training Center) – Speak to a representative about the application process and get personal consultation about any question or concerns you may have. Learn about the different programs offered at CTC along with the career opportunities you can receive upon graduating. (4to 5 p.m.)

August 28: FAFSA Frenzy: (Hosted by Texas A&M University- Kingsville) One-on-one assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (3 to 5 p.m.)
