Westbound Ramp Closures

Monday, Aug. 20, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.: The right westbound lane will be closed from the top of the Kostoryz Road overpass west to the on-ramp from Kostoryz Road as crews perform guardrail repairs. This work will also require the closure of the westbound on-ramp from Kostoryz Road. Motorists on the frontage road will remain on the frontage road to Ayers Street and will not be able to utilize the direct connectors to SH 286/Crosstown Expressway. West of Ayers Street, motorists can remain on the frontage roads to access the SH 358 and SH 286 mainlanes. Tuesday, Aug. 21, through Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.: Daytime closures of the westbound off-ramp to Airline Road will occur as crews perform work related to high mast lighting installation. Motorists should instead use the Rodd Field Road exit. The speed limit in the construction area is 55 mph on the mainlanes and 40 mph on the frontage road. Traffic fines double in work zones when workers are present.

Motorists are encouraged to follow TxDOT Corpus Christi District’s Twitter feed, @TxDOT_CRP, and/or visit the project webpage at txdot.gov (key word search “SH 358 Reconstruction”) for project information and to subscribe to email updates.
