Robstown police last week executed a pair of search warrants that resulted in the arrests of three women.

Sgt. Derley Flores said the first warrant led to the arrest of 23-year-old Victoria Lynn Elizondo. Narcotics officers conducted their search at Elizondo’s home, located in the 800 block of Gonzalez St., on Oct. 4 at 8:30 p.m.

Flores said tips from the public are what led to the investigation of the home.

Officers found 2.8 grams of black tar heroin and a small amount of cocaine on Elizondo’s person after she was searched by a female deputy with the Precinct 5 Nueces County Constable’s Office. Flores said Elizondo was wearing tight pants and had the heroin concealed inside her pants leg, between the fabric and her thigh. Elizondo then handed over the cocaine, which she had hidden in her bra, Flores added.

Elizondo is facing two counts of possession of a controlled substance for both the heroin and cocaine.

A short time later, at 9:09 p.m., police executed their second warrant at a home in the 1000 block of Iowa St.

Carol Ann Fitzwater, 42, was arrested after police found 2.4 grams of cocaine hidden in the waistline of her jeans, Flores said. Officers also found assorted drug paraphernalia in the home, including small plastic bags and scales, he added.

Another female at the home when police arrived, 18-year-old Candice Gamez of Banquete, was also arrested because she had an outstanding warrant, Flores said.
