Dakota "Cody" Encinia, a member of Boy Scout Troop No. 10 in Robstown, dedicated his Eagle Scout project on March 9.

The finished memorial was placed in the Veteran's Garden at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown. It includes a bronze plaque engraved with a quote from President John F. Kennedy, as well as a yellow ribbon painted on the front of the monument accompanied by the words "'Til they all come home."

Encinia said the project was meant to be a token of appreciation for the men and women of the armed forces who have fallen in combat or are actively serving in the military. Also in attendance at the March 9 ceremony were the Patriot Guard Riders of South Texas, members of Boy Scout Troop No. 10 and the Rev. Chris De Luna, who conducted the closing prayer.

Encinia is the son of Ben and Renee Encinia of Robstown.
