Sarah Ann Pena of Bryan, and Edwin Yu-Ping Ho of Houston, were married on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Banquete.

Sarah Ann is the daughter of Miguel and Ofelia Pena of Banquete, and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pedro Trevino Sr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Pena, all of Banquete.

Edwin Yu-Ping is the son of Mabel and Benny Ho of Houston, and the grandson of Mrs. Wun Yee Leung and the late Mr. Poon On Leung, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hin Ho, all of Hong Kong.

The ceremony was officiated by Father J. Patrick Serna.

Altar servers were Margarito Trevino III, Patrick Ayala, Samuel Trevino and Tyler Trevino.

Maids of Honor were Sarah Canch/ of Alamo, and Diana Mendoza of Pharr, both college friends of the bride. Bridesmaids were Emy Hernandez of Houston, college friend of the bride, and Nieves Pena of Pine Bluff, cousin of the bride. They wore two-piece floor length gowns made of maroon satin by Alfred Angelo. Their bouquets were made of maroon calla lilies by Barbara's Flowers.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Miguel Pena. Her wedding gown, by Alfred Angelo, was made of ivory satin and organza and lace, with an empire waist line accentuated with a maroon satin sash and cathedral train. She wore a two-tier ivory lace mantilla in cathedral and finger-tip lengths. Her bouquet was white roses and maroon calla lilies by Barbara's Flowers, with an inserted white monogrammed handkerchief, a gift from the bride's mother. At the reception she wore a traditional Chinese dress, with a small train in ivory brocade trimmed with gold piping and maroon brocade, and also a modern Chinese dress in gold fabric and layered with hundreds of pennies designed by Franky Yan of New York City.

Flower girls were Adrianna and Alexis Ramires of Banquete.

Best Man was Anrew Ho, brother of the groom, of Castroville. Groomsmen were Dennis Yang of Austin, Jeffrey Yeung of Houston, and Peter Quakenbush of San Antonio, all friends of the groom and bride.

Ushers were Richard Coffman of Castroville, Tuan Le of Portland, Ore., Ernie Pena of Banquete, and Joey Trevino of Banquete.

Ring Bearer was Jonathan Pena of Banquete.

Witnesses were The Honorable and Mrs. Hermilo Pena Jr.; Mass bouquet - Mr. and Mrs. Jose Pena; unity candle - Mr. and Mrs. Ringo Yeung; cojines - Mr. and Mrs. Don King; bible - Mr. and Mrs. David Shoemaker; lasso - Mr. and Mrs. Margarito Trevino Sr.; arras - Mr. and Mrs. Henry Phan.

The reception was held at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown.

A delayed trip to Yellowstone National Park is planned in Spring 2011. The couple resides in Bryan.

The bride is a graduate of Banquete High School and Texas A&M-College Station. She is employed as a senior academic advisor for Corps of Cadets - Texas A&M University-College Station.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Houston, and Texas A&M-College Station. He is employed as a design engineer with the Texas Department of Transportation in Houston.
