One incumbent for the Banquete Independent School District's Board of Trustees lost his seat Tuesday after failing to finish in the top four of voter percentage.

Trustee Tracy Wright was the top vote getter in Tuesday's General Election, gaining 25 percent of the vote. Marty Lopez, a current board member, received 16 percent.

Lilly Nash knocked incumbent Catarino Alvear Jr. off of the school board, finishing with 14 percent of the vote. Alvear only gained 9 percent of votes cast Tuesday, less than the 13 percent gained by fourth place finisher and incumbent Aaron Ramon.

Challengers Angel Arce and Noe Trevino finished with 12 percent and 11 percent of the vote, respectively.
