Amanda Garcia and Richard Gonzalez were married on Oct. 2, 2010 at Church of Hope. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Rod Young. The reception was held at the Watergarden Room of American Bank Center in Corpus Christi.

Amanda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Garcia of Corpus Christi.

Richard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Gonzalez of Robstown.

Maid of Honor was Jennifer Ridenour of Corpus Christi; Matron of Honor was Valerie Molina of Corpus Christi; Bridesmaids were Cynthia Valencia of Portland, and Brianna Nunez of Del Rio; Junior Bridesmaid was Thalia Gonzalez of Midland; Flowers Girls were Madelyn Avila of Robstown, Vestal Gonzalez of Midland, and Chloe Marroquin of Corpus Christi.

Best Men were Adolfo Lopez Jr. of Robstown, and Brandon Rodriguez of Robstown; Groomsmen were Marc Nunez of Del Rio, Adriel Gonzalez of Midland, and Diego Gonzalez of Midland; Ringbearers were Seth Avila of Robstown, and Aiden Garcia of Corpus Christi.

The bride wore an A-line Maggie Sottero gown with a scalloped neckline, enhanced by an ornately embellished lace bustline. A bow feature with a hand beaded lace motif highlighted the asymmetrical bodice. Sweeping bustles throughout the skirt and train created a remarkable presence down the aisle.

Amanda is a 2006 graduate of Calallen High School, and received a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2009. She is currently working as a registered nurse for Christus Spohn.

Richard is a 2004 graduate of Robstown High School and a 2009 graduate of Del Mar College. He will graduate from the University of Incarnate Word this December with a Bachelor's in Applied Arts and Sciences with emphasis in Computer Information Systems. He is currently working for the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi Army Depot.

They celebrated a honeymoon in Austin, and are currently living in Corpus Christi.
