Nueces County leaders are asking the public to attend an Emergency Response Show, one of the largest in county history, on May 24 at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown.
The event will be the closing portion of the two-day Coastal Bend Hurricane Conference. The conference is designed to provide information to local public officials and residents alike on preparing for emergency situations that may arrive should a hurricane make landfall in Nueces County.
About 300 people are expected to attend the conference's opening seminars on Monday. Tuesday's Emergency Response Show, scheduled to take place from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Exhibit Hall A, is open to the public.
