A 42-year old Robstown man was arrested last week after a search warrant revealed cocaine and several stolen items in his home on West Avenue F.
According to Robstown Police Department reports, Jose Juan "Johnny" Esquivel Jr., 42, was arrested and charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, after investigators with the department executed a search warrant on his home in the 100 block of West Avenue F in the late evening hours of Jan. 28.
A search of the home reportedly revealed 30.6 grams of cocaine, with a street value of $2,000. Also found in the home was a rifle valued at more than $4,000 and a laptop that were reported stolen from a home in the county, investigators said.
The Nueces County Sheriff's Department is currently conducting an investigation into the stolen property, officials with the department confirmed Tuesday.
The drug charges against Esquivel are expected to be enhanced, investigators said, because his home is located directly across the street from a church and fewer than 1,000 feet from Hattie Martin Elementary School.
Esquivel was transported to the Nueces County Jail and was released Jan. 30 on $35,000 bond.
