Students at Robstown High School will be taking the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills, or TAKS Test, on April 27-30. The TAKS Test is administered at various times throughout the year to assess student progress in learning.

Grade 10 will be taking the math test on Tuesday, April 27. Seniors who need to re-test for English-Language Arts (ELA) will also test on April 27. Grade 11 will take the Math Test on Wednesday, April 28, as well as Seniors who need to re-test for Math. Grade 9 will take the Math Test on Thursday, April 29. Also, grades 10 and 11 will take the Science Test on April 29, as well as Seniors who need to re-test in Science. Friday, April 30 is designated for Social Studies in Grades 10 and 11, as well as for Seniors who need to re-test for Social Studies.

Parents are encouraged to make sure that their high-school-age child is in school for this important testing, as well as to reschedule medical appointments for the following week if at all possible so students will not miss school. Students are encouraged to get plenty of rest during this busy week, as well as to be in school every day. The school is planning some incentives for students who have perfect attendance during the week of TAKS Testing.

Parents who have questions about the TAKS testing schedule may contact Martha Westfall, District Testing Coordinator, at 767-6600, ext. 3505.
