Eleven choir students represented the Robstown Independent School District at the annual UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest on February 7, at Texas A&M, Kingsville.

The students had to memorize a vocal solo and perform it for a judge, accompanied only by a piano.

Those students included:

Jazmine Trevino, a seventh grade student, who earned a Division I-Superior medal for her Class 3 solo. Victoria Torres, a sophomore, who earned a Division I-Superior medal for her Class 3 solo. Jessica Aparicio, a sophomore, who earned a Division I-Superior medal for her Class 2 solo. Robert Sauceda, a junior, who earned a Division I-Superior medal for his Class 2 solo. Jesus Garza, a senior, who earned a Division I-Superior medal for his Class 2 solo. Emmanuel Vasquez, a junior, who earned a Division I-Superior medal for his Class 2 solo. Bianca Hernandez, a freshman, who earned a Division I-Superior medal for his Class 2 solo. Darlena Rodriguez, a junior, who earned a Division I-Superior medal for her Class 2 solo. Arnulfo Rodriguez, a sophomore, who earned a Division I-Superior medal for his Class 1 solo. Monica Lopez, a senior, who earned a Division I-Superior medal for her Class 1 solo. Alyssa Rodriguez, a senior, who earned a Division I-Superior medal for her Class 1 solo.
