A Robstown man has been indicted by a Nueces County grand jury for causing the death of a 77-year-old man, one of three men allegedly struck by the suspect's vehicle in May.
According to online court records, 20-year-old Antonio Cavazos was re-indicted on one count each of murder, aggravated assault on a public servant, harassment of a public servant, intoxication manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault.
The indictment comes about three months after one of the men struck, Federico Martinez, passed away as a result of complications from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the May 30 incident.
At the scene, Cavazos admitted to Robstown police that he had taken prescription medication with alcohol prior to getting behind the wheel of his vehicle.
Cavazos is also facing two misdemeanor charges - criminal mischief and unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to online records.
