A 58-year-old Ingleside man who struck and killed two Michigan men last year as they were changing a tire on the side of the road in Robstown has pleaded guilty to charges connected to the accident, according to online court records.

Huerta pleaded guilty Sept. 29 to two counts of intoxication manslaughter and was sentenced to 15 years in prison for each count.

The sentences will run concurrently.

Huerta was arrested Oct. 27 after he struck 64-year-old Russell Don Sullivan, of Vestaburg, Mich., and 68-year-old William Matthew Summers, of Midland, Mich., as they were attempting to change a tire on their recreational travel trailer while parked on the side of U.S. Highway 77.
