The following information was complied from reports provided by the Corpus Christi Police Department and the Office of Nueces County Precinct 5 Constable Dionicio "Don" Ysassi during the week of May 1-8.
Precinct 5 Deputy Constables arrested two Robstown male juveniles, ages 15 and 16, a burglary of a habitation that allegedly occurred in the 900 block of Garcia Street.
A witness reported a burglary in progress and saw the two boys attempting to carry off a television from the property. The boys ran from the home and minutes later were found by constables.
The pair were brought back to the scene for identification and then transported to the Juvenile Justice Center.
Pct. 5 Deputy Constables reported to the Banquete Post Office on a call concerning criminal mischief. Over the weekend, one or more unknown suspects shot paintballs at the side of the federal building, hitting both the wall and windows over the weekend.
There were no suspects as of press time.
A female victim reported to Pct. 5 Deputy Constables that she was assaulted by a 37-year old male on County Road 73, after rendering aid to a motorist.
The victim, who had just helped a stranded motorist, was followed by the suspect to a residence on County Road 73. The suspect, who was a former boyfriend of the victim, allegedly struck the woman and shoved her to the ground.
A family member of the victim interceded, and the suspect fled the scene.
Corpus Christi Police Officers contacted a victim in the 4700 block of Calallen who reported someone looking through his mailbox.
The victim said his dogs were barking as he looked outside and saw a man, later identified as Trey Alan Nunley, 28, looking through his mailbox. Nunley fled towards Scenic Circle.
Officers searching the area saw a man matching Nunley's description walking out of the neighborhood. Officers found mail belonging to several area residents on Nunley. He was arrested and charged with theft and tampering with government records.
