Kayla Ann Zickefoose and Scott Randall Gower were united in marriage on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at the Knolle Ranch in Sandia. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Bill Johnson, family friend of the couple, of the Arlington Heights Church of Christ. The scripture reading was delivered by Cristina Stevens, college friend of the bride, of New Braunfels.

The bride is the daughter of Jay and Lou Ann Zickefoose of Corpus Christi. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Billie Paschal of Corpus Christi and the late Robert L. Paschal, and Pete Zickefoose of New Braunfels.

The groom is the son of Randy Gower and his wife, Katina, of Mansfield, and the late Caron Dufour Gower. He is the grandson of Royce and Jeri Gower and Gary and Dot Dufour, all of Victoria.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an organza gown by Mori Lee. The strapless gown was trimmed with embroidery and crystal beading that formed the sweetheart neckline and outline of this A line white gown. It featured a beaded waist sash with long streamers down the back of the train. The short, one tier veil, featured Swarovski crystals with a crystal comb and was her "something borrowed" from the matron of honor.

The bride's best friend, Lindsay Mathison Cook of Buda, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Marka Dredla, family friend, of Portland; Prissy Charo, college friend, of Portland; Jennifer Lee, college friend, of Austin; Lauren Gower, groom's sister, of Mansfield; and Jaime Zickefoose, bride's sister-in-law, of Odem.

Junior Bridesmaids were Aubrey Zickefoose of Odem, Emma Zickefoose of Frisco, Amelia and Caroline Scherer of Victoria, and Hanna and Halle Clark of San Antonio.

Bridesmaids wore cocktail length dresses in fuschia chiffon and were all different styles. Junior bridesmaids wore light pink tea length dresses of chiffon with pink glittery fuschia polka dots.

The groom's best friend, A.J. Llewellyn of Katy, served as best man. Groomsmen were Derek Gower, brother of the groom, of San Antonio; Justin Dredla, family friend, of Portland; Colin Dufour, cousin of groom, of Victoria; L.D. Watkins, family friend, of Corpus Christi; and Kyle Zickefoose, brother of bride, of Odem. Kadyn Zickefoose, bride's nephew, served as ring bearer.

Ushers were cousins of the bride and groom. Cameron and Matthew Steiger of San Antonio, Casey Rosellini of Houston, and Max Gower of Victoria.

Kayla and Scott are both 2002 graduates of Tuloso-Midway High School. Kayla is a graduate of Texas State University - San Marcos and is employed by Houston Northwest Medical Center where she is an exercise specialist in cardiac and pulmonary rehab. Scott graduated from Texas State Technical College in Waco and is a machinist with Smith International.

Following a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple will make their home in Spring, Texas.
