Four local Irish dancers, ranging in ages from 12 to 18 years old, from the Glor na Daire Academy of Irish Dance competed recently at two competitions and have brought home 12 medals, trophies and special awards.

Taylor Hatridge, a tenth-grade student at Carroll High School, Paige Lanam, a seventh-grade student at Calallen Middle School, Katy Netti of Del Mar College and Taylor Stephens, a tenth-grade student from Flour Bluff High School, attended both the Feile Rince Charlotte, in Charlotte, N.C. on June 5 and then the Southern Classic Feis in Savannah, Ga. on June 12.

Taylor Hatridge, Paige Lanam, Katy Netti and Taylor Stephens have qualified for and will be competing at the North American National Championships in Orlando, Fla., which will be held from July 1-5.

Classes for The Glor na Daire Academy of Irish Dance are held in Corpus Christi on Thursdays and Fridays as well as Saturday workshops. Dance School Directors are Abbey Pride, T.C.R.G. and Brent Wood, T.C.R.G. and the Teaching Assistant is Colleen Carpenter. Registration is open all year long.
