Robstown police have issued an arrest warrant for an 18-year-old man wanted in connection with an April 13 hit-and-run of two Sinton residents.
Detective Sgt. Enrique Paredez said police have identified Ronnie Sepulveda as the driver of a black Nissan Titan that failed to yield the right of way to eastbound traffic on Avenue J and Third Street.
Police said the truck collided with a motorcycle driven by Hector Aguilar, 44, who was traveling eastbound on Avenue J with his son, Hector E. Aguilar, 18. The pair, both of Sinton, was returning from a trip to Laredo, according to the accident report.
Both motorcyclists sustained numerous injuries when ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway. Police said the truck drove over Hector Aguilar as it fled the scene and failed to stop and render aid.
Witnesses have since identified the driver of the truck, Paredez said. Thee bond amount on the warrant is $25,000, he added.
Anyone with information on Sepulveda's whereabouts is asked to contact the Robstown Police Department at 387-3531.
