Three students from the Tuloso-Midway Independent School District have been selected to perform at a statewide convention next month.

In August, students from around the state of Texas started the process to become a member of one of the Texas All-State Choirs. District auditions were held in September. Only the top 20 students from each section moved on to the next level. Region was held in November.

The top 30 students became Region Choir members with the top four of each section moving on to the next level. The last competition, Area, was held Saturday in Rockport Fulton.

Morgan Hipp, a senior at Tuloso-Midway High School, and sophomore Meagan Contreras earned a place in the Texas All-State Women's Choir. Junior Anthony Brinkman earned a place in the Texas All-State Men's Choir.

The three students will be representing TMISD at the Texas Music Educators Convention in February.
