The City of Robstown Heath Department issued a statement to remind food establishment owners to renew all of their health permits. All current permits will expire on Dec. 31.
All businesses will have a 30-day grace period to make their renewals. Any renewals made after Jan. 31, 2012 will be given a fine. Fines range from $50 to $100 depending on the staff size of each business.
“This is a basic permit renewal notice,” Armando Calvo of the Health Department said. “We know that a lot of people like to wait for the last minute. We want to make sure they have enough time to get this done. The 30-day grace period is more than sufficient.”
Renewals can be mailed to the city's Health Department; PO Box 872, Robstown, Texas 78380 or it can be paid at the health office located at 201 N. 4th St. in Robstown. For more information regarding permit renewals, call 361-387-7378 or 387-0175.
