Ranchers are reminded the registration deadline is Friday for the Bi-National Ranchers Conference on June 24-25 in Laredo.

The conference will be held at the Embassy Suites, 110 Calle Del Norte, in Laredo from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on June 24 and 8:30 a.m. to noon on June 25.

Registration is $25 and includes social and evening meal on June 24. Three continuing education units in the general category will be offered to attendees.

Topics include:

Basics of prescribed burning; Management intensive grazing in South Texas; Balancing livestock and wildlife; Exotic grass management on rangeland; Current issues in beef cattle genetics; Livestock supplementation during drought; Animal health issues in Mexican livestock; Update on Texas Fever Tick Eradication Program; USDA-NRCS Cattle Fever Tick Initiative; South Texas Buck Capture Project;
