St. Anthony's Church on Violet will be celebrating its 100th year as a parish with its 60th annual Oktoberfest Beef Barbeque fundraiser.

Lunch service is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes barbeque beef, beans, potato salad and trimmings, along with dessert and tea for $8 per plate. Dine-in or carryout are available for customers.

There will be a country store, a white elephant sale, along with various other activities and games for kids, including blow-up bouncing rides, a petting zoo and clown. Other activities include a tour of the 1910 parish museum and an antique car and tractor show. A church auction will also be held. Parishioners and area businesses have donated many handmade goods, as well as collectables and a variety of other items.

The church is located at 3918 Coutny Road 61, off State Highway 44. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for church repairs.
