WASHINGTON, D.C.-U.S. Rep. Solomon P. Ortiz has announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded the city of Corpus Christi a $2.5 million grant for taxiway rehabilitation at the Corpus Christi International Airport.

"This grant immediately benefits the transportation infrastructure of the airport, and ensures that vital safety improvements are made to the taxiways," Ortiz said.

The grant will go towards taxiway repairs and improve the airport's drainage infrastructure.
