ROBSTOWN - Dennis Dean McCracken, Jr., 50, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. He was born on August 04, 1966 in Kingsville, Texas to Dennis Dean, Sr. and Amalia Lomas McCracken. Dennis served our country in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a devout Catholic, a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, a Eucharistic Minister, as well as many organizations such as True Presence, BOC Ministry and would also recite rosaries at the funeral home for the repose of the soul of our dearly departed. Dennis was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed by all those that knew him.
Dennis was survived by his wife of 17 years Laura Iris Gallegos McCracken; his children, Mark Anthony McCracken, Desirae Hope McCracken, Hannah McCracken, Heather McCracken; his sisters, Norma (Julian) Cuellar, and Mary Frances (Reginald) Shannon; his mother-in-law, Velia Vasquez. He was also blessed with four grandchildren and numerous other relatives, friends and extended church family.
A Rosary will be recited by his brother Knights of Columbus at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Jim and Fr. Anthony Blount at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
