Manuel De Leon, 55, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1951 in Robstown to Genaro and Manuela Garza De Leon. Manuel was a city truck driver for the city of Corpus Christi and a lifelong resident of Robstown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Carlos De Leon.
He is survived by his daughter, Christina Smith of Nashville, Ga.; three sons, Manuel De Leon Jr., of Tifton, Ga., Rocky De Leon of Nashville, Ga., and Roland De Leon of Corpus Christi; his stepchildren, Mary Ramon, Esmeralda Ramon, Ray Ramon, all of Lubbock, Texas, and Lucy Ramon of Tifton, Ga.; five sisters, Aurora De Leon of Seagraves, Rebecca De Leon of Corpus Christi, Eva (Adam) Garcia and Beatrice Rodriguez, both of Toledo, Ohio, and Neomi (Mike) Carrizales of Waterville, Ohio; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown.
