Frank Pena Jr., 67, of Robstown died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at his home after a long illness.

He was born Jan. 9, 1941, in Robstown to Maria and Frank Pena Sr. He married Lydia Ramirez on June 6, 1964. Mr. Pena was a carpenter with the local carpenters union and then became self-employed.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brothers-in-law, Lionel and Abraham Ramirez.

He is survived by his wife of over 43 years, Lydia Pena of Robstown; his sons, Frank (Roxie) Pena III, Ruben (Chris) Pena and Orlando (Mari) Pena, all of Robstown, and Jaime (Kristy) Pena of San Antonio; his mother, Maria Pena of Robstown; his sister, Olga (Sylvester) Garza of Corpus Christi; his brothers, Manuel (Alice) Pena and Rey (Rosemary) Pena, all of Corpus Christi, and Larry (Tina) Pena of Friendswood; eight grandchildren, Frankie IV, Ryan, Amy, Ruben, Justin, Orlando Jr., Abby and Olivia; his sisters-in-law, Norma (Joe) Cavazos of Robstown, and Erma Ramirez of Corpus Christi; his brothers-in-law, Tony (Sandra) Ramirez of Corpus Christi, Benjamin (Elva) Ramirez of Katy, and Ray (Monica) Ramirez of Orange Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass was concelebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Morgan Rowsome and the Rev. Msgr. Seamus McGown as concelebrants.

Burial will be private at a later time.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lefty Barrera, Joe Canales, Hector Chapa, Jeno Cruz, Oscar Favela, Gilbert Mendoza, Celestine Ramos and Ruben Rendon.
