Edna Olivia Schilhab Wynn passed away on Oct. 13, 2009, with her family by her side.
Edna was born on Feb. 17, 1932 to Edwin and Rose Schilhab in High Hill She spent many times on her maternal grandparents' farm and often told stories of living a simple country life. She loved her grandparents, the Schlebach's and her aunt Alice Shank. She moved with her parents to Robstown where she attended St. John's Parochial School until it was necessary, due to trying times, to live and help her family pick cotton in the fields of Robstown. As she reached her teenage years, she waitressed and worked in a photography studio. While waitressing, she met the man she would marry, who just happened to be her boss, William Robert "Bill" Wynn. They were married in Jan. 31, 1953 and together raised six children. She was a lifelong parishioner at St. John's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents, Edwin and Rose; her brother, Sonny; and her great-grandson, Nathaniel Foster.
She is survived by Kathy (Wayne) Foster of West Columbia, Kenny (Barbara) Wynn, Billy Wynn, both of Calallen, Joyce (Andy) Moore of Banquete, Virginia (Eric) Trejo, Jane (Randy) Domingue, both of Corpus Christi; sisters, Dolores Tischler and Rose Smith; and two special nieces, Sharon Vasquez and Linda Hernandez.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. at Robstown Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, Oct. 14. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at St. John's Catholic Church. Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Lee Holleman, Nathan Foster, Brian Foster, Brandon Foster, Bill Moore, and nephew, Ronnie Teschendorf.
Honorary pallbearers were granddaughters, Windy Wynn, Jessica Salas, Robyn Wynn, Jamie Wynn, Julie Wynn, Brianna Trejo and Allyson Trejo.
