Erma Lee Hurst Stillwell, 86, of Corpus Christi died Saturday, May 17, 2008, in a local hospital.
She was born Oct. 15, 1921, in Okemah, Okla., to William Lee and Elizabeth Martin Woodard. Stillwell was an entrepreneur and had owned several businesses. She was a member of Tuloso-Midway Baptist Church, had been active in the American Business Women's Association, was involved in Cub and Boy Scouts when her boys were young and had been a hospital volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Joseph Lee Hurst and A. P. Stillwell; her brothers, Jack, Joe, William and Raymond Woodard; and her sister, Jessie Black.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Hurst, Joe Hurst and Phil (Karen) Hurst, all of Corpus Christi; her grandchildren, Jordan and Jaylaine Hurst; her sister, Mildred Yancy of Lovington, N.M.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, in Tuloso-Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Delain Tully and the Rev. John McAllister officiating.
Burial followed in Memory Gardens.
