Juan Zuniga Rojas, 89, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008.

He was born on June 12, 1919 in Mexico and came to live in the United States as a child with his parents, Doroteo and Tomasa Zuniga Rojas. He was a Catholic and a member of Club Padres de Familia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers and sisters, Jose Rojas, Maria Nava, Simona Rojas and Ruperta Rocha.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Eloisa Rojas of Robstown; children, Jesus (Lucia Luna) Rojas Sr. of Robstown, and Delais Rojas Galvan of Twin Falls, Idaho; his brother, Judge Lorenzo (Ofelia) Rojas of Robstown; three sisters, Martina Rojas, Evangelina Rojas and Lucia Vargas, all of Robstown; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 17 and 18, in the Ramon Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown.
