Richard Loren Angell, 66, of Corpus Christi died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008.

He was born April 2, 1941, in Mexico, Mo. He served in the U.S. Navy and then moved to Corpus Christi in 1966. He was the design and document manager at Horton Automatics since May of 1990.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Angell.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Phyllis Jett Angell of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Darcus (Lloyd) Tyson of Portland, and Sara (Jesse) Longoria of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren, Jason Tyson, Andrea Tyson, Brooke (William) Wilson, Caleb Tyson, Hannah Tyson, all of Portland, and Jessica Longoria of Corpus Christi; and one sister, Ellen Angell of Corpus Christi.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Linn, Mo., at a later date.
