Jesus Arevalo, 61 of Immokalee, Fla., died Aug. 30, 2008 after a lengthy illness.

Arevalo was born March 20, 1947 in Robstown and worked for Nobles Farms of Immokalee, Fla., as a crew leader for many years.

He is survived by his wife Lilly M. Arevalo; six daughters, Norma (Rafael) Olvera, Julia (Jessie) Gomez Jr., Sylvia (Cristobal) Negretel, all of Immokalee, Fla., Lisa (Isaac) Silvas, Lehigh Acres, Cecilia Arevalo (Juan), and San Juana (Pablo) Alfaro; son; Adrian (Jennifer) Arevalo, all of Immokalee, Fla.; two stepsons; Valentin and Leo Corona of Immokalee, Fla.; mother, Maria G. Arevalo of Robstown; four brothers, Francisco Arevalo, Abraham (Olga) Arevalo and Adan (Fran) Arevalo of Robstown, and Juan (Margie) Arevalo Jr. of Attalla, Ala.; eight sisters, Viviana (Raul) Trevino of Grand Prairie, Andrea (Ramon) Cerda, Elsie (Jose) Cantu and Mary (Danny) Jaquez of Robstown, Alice (Dayne) Hosea of Porter, Linda (George) Hernandez of Banquete, Veronica (Dagoberto) Blanco and Lolly Arevalo of Robstown; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 15 nephews; 20 nieces; and numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m., at Bethel Assembly of God with Pastor Josue Rincon officiating.

Burial will immediately follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens, Immokalee, Fla.
