Enrique "Kiko" Lopez Medrano, 63, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008.

He was born Nov. 26, 1944 in Corpus Christi to Genaro T. Medrano Sr. and Hermelinda Lopez Medrano. He was employed with the Texas Department of Human Resources as a social caseworker before retiring after 25 years and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was also a member of the Counting Committee, choir, St. Anthony Catholic Church and was an active member in Bible class.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jose Medrano; and one sister, Maria Garza.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Luna Medrano; two sons, Enrique Gino (Kami) Medrano of College Station, and Genaro Medrano of Robstown; three daughters, Maria "Missy" (Greg) Castilla of Robstown, Luvina (Brain) Subia of Hearst, and Marivel Medrano of Robstown; four brothers, Felipe (the late Elodia) Medrano, Genaro (Polin) Medrano Jr., Juan (Gloria) Medrano and Manuel (Hilda) Medrano; five sisters, Rosa (the late Paulino) Villarreal, Luisa Medrano, Aurora (Francisco) Zamora, Dolores (Vidal) Herrera and Emma Morales; one brother-in-law, Raul Garza; one sister-in-law, Lupe Medrano, all of Robstown; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday, July 25, in the Ramon Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment followed in St. Anthony Cemetery.
