Manuela Quinonez Carrillo, 79, died on Sunday, May 24, 2009.

She was born on July 6, 1929 in Robstown to Fernando and Rafaela Gonzalez Quinonez. She was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in Robstown.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Amelia Pedrosa; and her brothers, Robert Quinonez, Jose Quinonez and Fernando Quinonez.

She is survived by her children, Augustine Q. (Berta) Ramon of Houston, Domingo (Amalia) Bautista of Beeville, Oralia B. (Bill) Hames of Dallas, Fernando Q. (Rosalinda) Bautista Sr., Diana B. (Jesse) Martinez, both of Mesquite, Juan Bautista Jr. and David Q. (Laura) Carrillo, both of Corpus Christi; her sisters, Juanita Contreras, Audelia Soto, Guadalupe Elizondo, all of Robstown, Ofelia Barboza of San Antonio, and Delia Mercado of Corpus Christi; 30 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 28, in the Ramon Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 29, at St. Anthony Cemetery in Robstown.
